In plain English
A school parent portal is where teachers record grades and attendance, each parent sees only their own child's, and the school posts notices in one place parents check. It follows the Tracking pattern: a person's or asset's history, built up over time. Pory generates it from a plain-English description, with a login for each role (parent and teacher) that shows only what that role should see, and flat pricing with unlimited parents.
What it does
Marks sat in a teacher's markbook and absences in the office register, and neither reached home until report time. In Pory a teacher adds a row for each quiz, piece of work or absence, with the subject, date, result and a short note. The end-of-term scramble to reconcile two registers goes away.
Parents heard about a missed test or a run of late mornings at the conference, when it was too late to help. In Pory each parent signs in to their own child's rows — the fractions quiz, the late arrival on Tuesday — and nobody else's. Fewer "how is she getting on?" calls reach the office.
School notices went home as paper in book bags, and a good share came back in October still folded. In Pory the office posts notices on a page parents see when they sign in: swimming kit, conference evenings, term dates. Nobody reprints the same letter three times because it never made it out of the classroom.
Pory generates a portal from these pieces and wires the permissions between them. The same parts run a grant round, a help desk, and a tenant portal — only the names on the pages change.
Collect
Signed-in or public, with typed fields and file uploads. A form files a record; it doesn't start an email thread.
An application page, a notice board, an open directory — pages and forms anyone can use without signing in, on your domain.
People create their own account and land in the role you chose for them.
Upload and view files on the record they belong to — not in a folder named FINAL v2.
Decide
Decision buttons for whoever may edit the status. Who decided, when, and why stays on the record.
