What is an alumni network portal?
An alumni network portal is where alumni keep their own profiles in a shared directory, see their own giving history, and find reunions and events on one calendar. It follows the Directory pattern: who belongs, their profiles and sign-ups. Pory generates it from a plain-English description, with a login for each role (alum and alumni office) that shows only what that role should see, and flat pricing with unlimited alumni.

The alumni directory went out of date the week each class graduated, and most updates arrived as replies to the newsletter. In Pory each alum signs in and edits their own profile — what they do now, their city, their class — and the directory shows everyone's latest. The office stops retyping job changes gleaned from LinkedIn.

Each alum sees their own giving history, and nobody else's
When alumni asked what they'd given, the office dug through the donor database and replied a week later. In Pory every gift sits in a table with its fund, date and amount, and an alum who signs in sees only their own rows. Nobody emails the development office in January for a list of last year's gifts.
